During 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 the West Berwick Golf Club has:
1) Provided all the financial needs to start an MCHS Girl's Golf Team (4 straight years). The girl's team won its first
Regional Championship in the fall of 2011 - in only the 4th year of competition.
2) Provided meals for home matches for all teams participating
3) Took the MCHS Boy's team to a practice round at the 37th Ryder Cup at Valhalla
4) Provided meals to both girl's and boy's teams as they practice for the Regional, Sectionals and State Tournaments
5) Provided all equipment and costs to start the West Berwick Golf Range behind
the Mt. Carmel Church of Christ (278 yards in length)
6) Provided 100% of the costs of the 2009, 2010 & 2011 Spring Golf Seasons: The Aces won three straight Big 8
Championships
7) Provided Embroidered coats for the 2010 boys State Champions and embroidered fleece jackets for the 2010 girls Regional Runner-ups. Provided Embroidered Fleece Pullovers to the 2009 Class A Runner-Up team as well as a DVD commemorating 2009 and a championship 8x10 of the team and their trophy. Provided Embroidered Wind Breakers to the 2008 Class A 7th place team as a commemoration of their historic appearance.
9) Provided meals to all participants, coaches and observers at NO COST for both the 2009 Boy's Class A Regional
and the 2009 & 2010 Girl's Class A Regional. The tournaments were held in Mt. Carmel
West Berwick Golf Club plays North Berwick Golf Club in 1st ever Lincoln Honors Match....
During July of 2011, 16 members of West Berwick Golf Club went to England and Scotland. As part of that trip, the group was lucky enough to play a match against 8 members of the North Berwick Golf Club. Even though WBGC lost 3-1, the match was excellent. The dinner at North Berwick that night exceeded all expectations. We'd like to thank the Captain of the NBGC team, Alan Simpson, for a great experience. Alan is an International Member of WBGC. WBGC Member Catriona Matthew video update on 2012 plans.........
Congratulations to our own Catriona Matthew for her November 13 victory in the Lorena Ochoa LPGA Invitational at Guadalajara, Mexico. This video, filmed January 17, 2012, is a review by Aberdeen Asset Management about her plans for the upcoming golf year. Go Catriona!

Winter Extravaganza a great success! Thanks to the Event Committee for a great Dinner!
Captain Seaton went over the entire list of winners for the 2011 golf year and announced that the Player of the Year Award for 2011 and winner of the Rhine Cup was Kevin Williams. The Captain also announced that the club will have "Open Grill" dinners every 1st and 3rd Friday's of the Month beginning at 5:30pm. Salad and Potato provided by the club - bring your own items to grill. See you at the club! Jim White claims 2nd annual Match Play Tournament - Wins Crail Cup!!
Congratulations to Jim White who wont the 2nd annual Match Play tournament coming from the winner's bracket. Jim was undefeated in the tournament. Jim had a good year includingMember/Guest Champion, International Hickory Club Champion, Scottish Net Champion,and now the Match Play Champion.

Entire West Berwick Group at St. Andrews........
The entire group atop the bridge that crosses the Swilcan Burn on the 18th fairway at the Old Course in St. Andrews. The group enjoyed a beautiful Scotland experience, made new friends, and Stan, Kevin & Dave learned how to sit on the right and drive on the left . Many thanks to our friends and International Members that helped to make our trip very memorable: Anne McCarthy, Bobby Walker, Alan Phillips, Dr. Peter Keeling, Christopher Spencer, Milt McLachlan and Ailsa McLachlan.
WBGC 2011 Highlight Video - Enjoy!
Frost Festival "hotly contested".......
5 of the 8 teams finished the Frost Festival 9 hole tournament on Saturday, March 10, tied with a one-under par 35. After much discussion, 10 players (2 to a team) headed to hole #15 for a playoff. Winning with a great birdie by Rob Dean was the team of Rob Dean and Kevin Williams. The 2nd place teams were Jim White/Eric Ikemire; Karin Kelsey/Justin Swanson; Tim Woodsmall/Matt Schrader; and Todd Drone/Coach John White. The weather was great for the 3rd straight awarding of the "Tundra Trophy". See the Members page for pictures of the day's events.
Matt Schrader and Randy Grounds win the 2nd annual Member/Member Championship.......
After posting a net 64 along with Kevin Ireland and Mike McPherson, Matt Schrader and Randy Grounds claimed the Member/Member Championship after a playoff on hole #15. A contingent of 10 teams participated in the tournament for the Bass Rock Trophy. Low Gross Score went to Matt St. Ledger and Tim Woodsmall.
The Evening menu included a great dinner provided by the Events Committee led by Karin Kelsey. Wow - a Derby Party and Cinco De Mayo on the same day!!!! Great food, great friends and great fun!
