2011 MatchPlay Championship - Members Only:
1) Sign up begins February 18, 2011 and will run through March 15, 2011.
2) Bracket was completed by Golf Committee and followed the sign-up sheet for pairing (see picture after brackets)
3) Time frame must be followed in order to complete the tournament timely. Please contact the secretary if any
scheduling problems develop. The timeline will be rigorously enforced.
5) Please report a match and score (i.e. Brown defeats Smith 5 & 3) to eric.ikemire@oldnational.com for udpating
6) Player listed first in match shall be responsible for contacting opponent to schedule match
7) Double elimination per the bracket
8) Golf committee will enforce "timely play" in order to complete the tournament before the end of fall.
Rules of Play:
1) All play will conform to USGA Rules (i.e. play the ball down) unless local rules supersede.
2) All matches are from the black tees.
3) Each player will use the handicap that is in force at the time of the match at Mt. Carmel (primary), at another
course (secondary) with the handicap revised with slope differential to Mt. Carmel.
4) Each player will utilize their full handicap
5) A putt may be conceded by the opposing player
6) If a match is halted due to weather it will resume at the point in which it was stopped
7) If both players agree that a ball is in area deemed "ground under repair" (GIR), the ball may be dropped
with no penalty enforced
8) All traps will be played per USGA rules unless both players deem that the ball is in an area which would
called "GIR".
9) It is the responsibility of the two players to set up their own playing time.
10) If there is a dispute on a rule during the match, a provisional may be played and the West Berwick
Golf Club golf committee will make the decision.
11) All decisions made by the WBGC golf committee will be final.
